La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO+M is a triple-action anti-blemish treatment, now enriched with microbiome science for targeted efficacy, even on severe blemishes: anti-pimples, anti-blackheads, anti-post-acne marks, and anti-relapse.

Scientific Discovery
In the skin microbiome, the bacteria responsible for blemishes are made up of several subtypes called phylotypes. Research has shown that a lack of diversity between phylotypes and a predominance of phylotype IA1 are associated with the development and severity of acne.
The new formula is enriched with microbiome science and features the new active ingredient Phylobioma, which acts on phylotype IA1 to help reduce blemishes and excess sebum production at the source. Its efficacy has been proven on oily, acne-prone skin.
